Our approach
We choose the board, and we lay it. No one in between.
Most flooring passes through too many hands — one firm sells it, another fits it, and no one quite owns the result. We supply and fit as a single team, so whoever chooses the oak is accountable for how it looks the day you first walk on it.
We buy oak for its grain long before its price, work mostly to order, and prepare every subfloor as carefully as we lay the boards on top of it. Slower, and harder to rush — which is rather the point.

Four oak floors we return to again and again. Each is drawn, cut and laid by hand — in oak chosen for its grain long before its colour, so no two boards, and no two rooms, come out quite alike. Supplied and fitted, never just dropped at the door.

Samples
in your roomFinishes are brushed, oiled, smoked or limed to sample, then seen in your own light before anything is ordered.
Preparation
the groundworkSubfloors are levelled, moisture-tested and the oak left to acclimatise. The half no one sees decides everything.
Fitting
by our own fittersLaid, sanded and finished on site by the same team throughout — then handed over swept and ready to walk on.
Bespoke detail
One of the floors lifts.
Set flush into the oak, a brass ring lifts a hidden hatch to the cellar below — the kind of detail we cut in by hand when a floor has to do more than lie flat. Grilles, thresholds, inlays, trims: all made to vanish into the grain.
