Espresso Noir Oak is a deep, characterful oak that reads almost as the darkest point in a room — dramatic against pale walls and a natural anchor for richer, layered interiors.
Part of our Bespoke Colour collection, it is genuine engineered oak — a real oak wear layer over a stable core, built to hold its shape over underfloor heating and through changing seasons. The matt lacquer gives a hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface that shrugs off daily family life while keeping the look of raw, unfinished oak.
As a hand-finished bespoke tone, it is matched to a specific scheme so the floor belongs to the room rather than competing with it. every board is supplied and fitted by our own Cambridge team, or supplied on its own for your fitter.
Keeping it well is simple: lift abrasive grit regularly, use felt pads under furniture, keep the room within a normal humidity range, and avoid steam mops and standing water.
Yes. Espresso Noir Oak is engineered oak, which is designed to cope with the gentle expansion and contraction of underfloor heating far better than solid wood, provided it is fitted with the correct adhesive and properly acclimatised first.
