Home / Herringbone Flooring Cambridge
Herringbone is the timeless angled block, cut and laid by hand. It brings rhythm and a sense of craftsmanship to a room that wider planks cannot, and remains a favourite in Cambridge townhouses and new builds alike.
Choosing herringbone is choosing pattern as much as floor. Laid at 45 or 90 degrees, the angled blocks draw the eye along a room and make even modest spaces feel considered. We size and set each block by hand so the pattern runs true to your walls, with borders and feature directions planned before a single piece is fixed.
We supply and fit herringbone flooring as a single team, so whoever helps you choose the oak is accountable for how it looks once it is laid. Every project begins in our Cambridge showroom, where you can walk on full-size samples before you commit, and ends with a floor finished and cleaned ready to use.
Supplied and fitted to order by our own Cambridge craftsmen. We can also supply herringbone flooring on its own for your own fitter.
Oiled herringbone flooring is easy to live with: sweep or vacuum regularly, clean with a barely-damp mop and a pH-neutral wood-floor cleaner, and avoid standing water. Oiled finishes can be refreshed in high-traffic areas without sanding the whole floor, and a well-kept engineered oak floor will look beautiful for decades.
We supply and fit herringbone flooring across Cambridge and the surrounding towns and villages, including:
