Home / Chevron Flooring Cambridge
Chevron is herringbone’s sharper sibling: the blocks meet in a continuous zig-zag point for a crisp, contemporary geometry. It is precise to cut and lay, and rewards the care with a striking, directional floor.
Chevron suits homeowners who want a floor that feels architectural. Because every board is mitre-cut to meet its neighbour in a perfect point, the result is cleaner and more directional than herringbone — ideal for drawing a long hallway forward or giving a reception room a confident axis. That precision is unforgiving, which is exactly why it should be set by hand.
We supply and fit chevron flooring as a single team, so whoever helps you choose the oak is accountable for how it looks once it is laid. Every project begins in our Cambridge showroom, where you can walk on full-size samples before you commit, and ends with a floor finished and cleaned ready to use.
Supplied and fitted to order by our own Cambridge craftsmen. We can also supply chevron flooring on its own for your own fitter.
Oiled chevron flooring is easy to live with: sweep or vacuum regularly, clean with a barely-damp mop and a pH-neutral wood-floor cleaner, and avoid standing water. Oiled finishes can be refreshed in high-traffic areas without sanding the whole floor, and a well-kept engineered oak floor will look beautiful for decades.
We supply and fit chevron flooring across Cambridge and the surrounding towns and villages, including:
