This page (together with the documents referred to on it) sets out the terms and conditions on which we supply the products and flooring services (the “Products” and “Services”) listed on our website www.cambridgefloors.co.uk (“our site”) to you. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order.
1.1 Our site is operated by Cambridge Floors (company registration number: __________), trading from 3 The Broadway, Mill Road, Cambridge, CB1 3AH.
1.2 You can contact us at info@cambridgefloors.co.uk or by writing to us at our trading address above.
2.1 By placing an order you make an offer to purchase our Products or Services.
2.2 We will acknowledge receipt of your order by email. This acknowledgement does not amount to acceptance.
2.3 A binding contract is formed only when we send a separate email confirming that we accept your order.
2.4 The contract relates only to the Products or Services confirmed in that acceptance.
3.1 If you are contracting as a consumer, you may cancel a supply-only order within 3 working days of the order date; a restocking charge of 30% may apply.
3.2 Cancellations must be made in writing to our trading address or by email to info@cambridgefloors.co.uk.
3.3 Where goods have been delivered, you are responsible for returning them at your own cost.
3.4 Bespoke, made-to-order or colour-matched Products are non-refundable once production has begun.
4.1 Delivery charges and lead times are confirmed at the point of order. Please do not book fitters until your goods have been received and inspected.
4.2 Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; title passes once payment has been received in full.
4.3 If delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive it, re-delivery charges may apply.
5.1 Prices are stated exclusive of VAT unless otherwise indicated, and may be affected by changes in the VAT rate.
5.2 Obvious pricing errors will be corrected before dispatch; where a price is higher than quoted we will seek your confirmation before proceeding.
5.3 We accept payment by bank transfer and debit card. We are not responsible for any charges levied by your own bank.
6.1 Samples are provided for guidance only. Wood is a natural material and variation in grain and colour is to be expected.
6.2 Colours shown on screen may differ from the physical product.
7.1 Our liability is limited to the value of the goods and any direct losses arising. We are not liable for loss of income, savings or other indirect or consequential losses.
7.2 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under law, and your statutory rights are not affected.
8.1 Manufacturer warranties vary by product and are confirmed at the point of order. Warranties may be void where flooring has been incorrectly installed or maintained, and proof of purchase is required.
9.1 Where we supply and fit, the site must be ready on the confirmed start date. If our team attends and cannot begin work, a day-rate charge may apply.
9.2 Cancelling an installation at short notice, or on the day of installation, may be treated as a breach of contract and may result in the retention of deposits and recovery of reasonable losses.
9.3 Full site and installation requirements are set out in our Project Guidelines, which form part of these terms.
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Our obligations are suspended for the duration of any such event.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes apply to orders placed after the revised terms are published, unless the law requires otherwise.
Questions about these terms can be sent to info@cambridgefloors.co.uk.
