White Washed Herringbone Oak is a soft, pale tone with a Scandinavian restraint, keeping a floor in the background so furniture and light can lead.
Part of our Herringbone collection, it is genuine engineered oak — a real oak wear layer over a stable core, built to hold its shape over underfloor heating and through changing seasons. The matt lacquer gives a hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface that shrugs off daily family life while keeping the look of raw, unfinished oak.
Laid in the classic angled block, it brings rhythm and craft to a room — at its best in a living room, hallway or open-plan kitchen-diner where there is space to read the pattern. Supplied at 90 × 450mm, every board is supplied and fitted by our own Cambridge team, or supplied on its own for your fitter.
Keeping it well is simple: lift abrasive grit regularly, use felt pads under furniture, keep the room within a normal humidity range, and avoid steam mops and standing water.
Yes. White Washed Herringbone Oak is engineered oak, which is designed to cope with the gentle expansion and contraction of underfloor heating far better than solid wood, provided it is fitted with the correct adhesive and properly acclimatised first.
Often, yes. Bring a photo or an offcut to the showroom and we will help match the block size, tone and direction as closely as the current range allows before fitting.
